Rivers of Ink Conference

Nicole is teaching her popular class, "Where Character Development Meets Setting" at the upcoming Rivers of Ink Conference. Read her class description below.

"When establishing setting, we often look to add detail—but description can slow the pace, interrupt the action, and add unnecessary bulk. By viewing setting through the character’s eyes, we can add descriptive and emotional depth, deepening both setting and character in order to make the narrative more dynamic."
